Japanese for Business and Professional Purposes (JBPP) is an innovative new program designed to give you the skills and confidence required to succeed in a professional Japanese business environment. You'll learn not only keigo and business terminology but also language and etiquette essential to handling a wide range of negotiation and management situations.
The JBPP curriculum was designed by highly experienced, hand-picked faculty, all of whom have masters degrees or above and at least four years of teaching experience, both within and outside of Japan. Each instructor is a full-time specialist in teaching Japanese as a foreign language and has taught at least one year at university level outside of Japan. Classes are kept small—no more than six students per class—to ensure that everyone receives individual attention.
JBPP classes incorporate the latest multimedia technology, including high-speed workstations and interactive whiteboards. Additional learning support is provided via the Yamasa Institute's OCJS online resources. All classrooms are furnished with wireless internet access, air-conditioning, walls with glass wool fiber sound insulation, and six 100-volt two-prong electrical outlets (power points).
We also offer a wide array of accommodation options, including homestays, studio apartments, and dormitory housing.
This is a serious and demanding program, and we are confident that it is the most carefully developed, comprehensive, and practical business Japanese program offered by any accredited institute or university in Japan.
